AN APPRECIATION OF THE PAST WITH AN EYE FOR THE FUTURE
When you first experience life in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, you quickly find that many of us share the same story.
Perhaps it is yours.
In the early-to-mid 1900s, the Northwoods - including the town of Three Lakes - became known throughout the upper midwest as an ideal place for recreation, fishing, and clean, fresh air - an escape from the developing cities and a life - that with increasing conveniences - somehow was becoming more and more hectic.
Your parents and grandparents heard from a friend, or saw an ad in the newspaper, about vacationing in the Northwoods. They made their plans, packed some things, and began a long journey by car or train to see what this was all about.
And they fell in love.
They visited year after year, or were able to purchase some property. They built a cabin or rented from a resort.
And you grew up loving the Northwoods, too.
Scott and Renee Wisner share this story, making Three Lakes their year-round home in 2019. They had a vision to create an upscale dining experience while upholding small town values in the opening of their first restaurant, Claytons 1881 Room.
With this deep appreciation for the history and community of Three Lakes, Scott and Renee have an eye for future growth and ways to serve our small town.
